Here we have what we call "The Instructor". This trout seems to be saying, "Now this is how it's done my friends!" In perfect form, this trout lands in the small zone and disappears. Look at where his nose seems to touch the water. That dark spot at the lip of the fall is what we call the small zone. At that point note the green moss just under the surface. Above that moss is a long thin line of white water. This is the large landing zone, the only spot most trout can use to make it past the falls. Larger trout can use the smaller zone just on the other side of the moss where this trout's nose is touching.
