Because trout fail on most attempts to scale the falls, it looks as though they will kill themselves. Fortunately for them the ordeal is not as bad as it looks. While they crash into rocks, the bank, each other, and get tumbled by the fall waters, they recover and get right back to it. It is their unfailing determination which keeps these wild trout strong.
