It's Time To Go Fishing - Your Way!
Ever wish you could hire a guide who would allow you to fish the way you want, where you want? Want a guide who will give advise then allow you the freedom to decide for yourself what you wanted to do? Then hook up with Trimble's today! Please call in advance, if possible, as bookings are limited.

Fly Fishing
Fly fishing has become very popular on the White River. It has always been good on low water; but we have learned that the high water conditions also can and do produce excellent fly fishing opportunities. (In fact, some of our best fly fishing days have been on high water.) We welcome all fly fishermen, from the novice to the expert. Instruction is also available.

Summer Time Fishing
Mid June - Mid September. Many people are concerned with summer time heat. Fishing is very good during the summer, so we obviously want to encourage everyone to come to the White River during these months. To make your trip more enjoyable, we offer a great deal of flexibility in our fishing hours. You might want to consider fishing from 6:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m to avoid the worst heat; or perhaps a 1/2 day evening trip from 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. (especially nice since most of the daytime traffic is off the river, it's peaceful, cool, and the fish still bite) or early morning, 6am to 10am. We'll try to accommodate you any way we can.

Fishing Versatility - Year Round
We undertake fly fishing, light tackle, artificial, and bait fishing. We are here to see that you have a good time! Jonce seldom fishes--you do! His job is to put you on fish, bait, net, clean and handle the fish, and handle the boat. If you are new to fishing our rivers, he teach's you how to catch fish in any water conditions. We hope that you will learn something new each trip.

Trout fishing is excellent year round on the rivers. From early spring through winter, the Ozarks offer a refreshing change of scenery along with great fishing opportunities. We fish 365 days a year (every day we can get somebody to go).

And It's More Than Just A Fishing Trip
Enjoy the flora and fauna along the shores of the White River. You will see all kinds of wildflowers, hardwood forests, and amazing rock formations as we drift through hole after hole of productive trout waters. Chances are good that you'll see wildlife too. Beaver, mink, muskrat, heron, bald eagles, coons, fox, turkey,  deer, geese, duck, and hawks are common along our rivers. Be sure to bring your camera!

Safety & Comfort Are Yours
When fishing the White River, a guide provides much more than fishing knowledge. These tailwaters have rapidly changing water levels that can affect how a boat must be handled. During high water swift currents must be well respected. And during low water an ever vigilant eye must be kept on rocks and other snags. When fighting fish a good guide will keep your boat properly positioned, especially in strong currents. Safety is always the top priority with your guides from Trimble's.

Right behind safety comes comfort. That means modern padded swivel seats, a cooler with ice and sodas, and many other details that make your day a pleasure. We want to keep you focused on catching fish and enjoying the natural beauty of the area as we go. We don't want you to be fighting an uncomfortable seat or anything else that could detract from a fun day on the river. Our equipment is well maintained. It's the little things all working together that make your day on the river with Trimble's a total pleasure!

Just For Children
There is nothing more enjoyable on the river than watching a child catch a trout for the first time! The kids get so excited from the first tug on the line to the moment the fish is netted and put in the boat! We love being a part of this best of all! Jonce Trimble, a college graduate with a teaching background, is also a former football and basketball coach. Jonce especially enjoys helping children catch their first trout. He'll help a child in understanding how to bait a hook, handle a net, fight the fish, and land it. He shows children in a clear, easy manner that there is much more to catching a fish than just hooking it and winching it in to the boat.

For Corporate & Groups
These days more and more corporate and group outings include families. Trimble's welcomes this trend with special attention to making all guests comfortable. Nancy Trimble is as equally comfortable with a fighting trophy brown on her line as she is cooking up a great evening shore dinner. Jonce is just as comfortable helping her as he is guiding boats along the rivers. Guests of all origins feel comfortable with the unique talents of this husband and wife team who have perfected the art of bringing the corporate necessities to guided river trips. These same talents work very well with church groups, family reunion trips, and a bunch of friends who just want to fish together.
(Please note that there is a deposit requirement on all multiple boat trips.)

The Evening Trip & Shore Dinner
Ever arrive late in the afternoon and wish you could spend two or three hours fishing before dark? Ever wish you could find a guide who would take you out in the early evening? Call Trimble's! Not only will you find a late afternoon/early evening trip, you'll also have the option of enjoying a rare treat - an evening shore dinner!

Similar to a shore lunch, the shore dinner is actually more relaxed as the rush to get back on the water is not an issue like it is at noon. A shore dinner takes a little longer, there's more, food, and you get to enjoy it all in a relaxed evening setting along the river. And there's more of Nancy's excellent home-cooked treats! (Also an option on full or half-day trips).

About Jonce And Nancy Trimble
Jonce Trimble is a college graduate, a former K-12 teacher, and was a football and basketball coach. He taught history, math, and science for junior and senior high, and physical education for K-12. About 24 years ago his love for the outdoors and fishing lead him to become a fishing guide on the Arkansas White River. Jonce has 11 years experience as the lead guide for a local fishing resort. He'll not only put you on the brook, brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout, he'll also smoothly co-ordinate your group's entire trip.

Nancy Trimble is very involved with the planning and preparation of the guided trips. She is also an excellent cook preparing homemade dishes and desserts for the guided trips. She makes great cakes and brownies (and banana pudding!) that all guests absolutely love! And Nancy really enjoys fishing, as you can see from the photograph at the top she is a very good fisher person! She also does custom sketches, portraits, and painted shirts of your fish upon request.
